Temazcal

The Amalurra temazcal, like the tipi, has roots in the Lakota tradition and other indigenous cultures of the Americas

It is a circular structure similar to an igloo, symbolizing the womb of Mother Earth. Inside, rituals of purification and renewal are performed through heat, steam from medicinal plants, chanting and prayer. It is a deeply transforming space for both body and soul.

This ancestral rite, adapted with great respect to the Amalurra context, allows those who participate in it to release emotional burdens, purify the body and experience a process of symbolic death and rebirth. The temazcal ceremony also reinforces the sense of community, as each participant is supported by the group to live this experience.
