The Amalurra restaurant in Artzentales, near Bilbao, is known for its exquisite cuisine, which you can taste among the dishes on a menu that combines the Basque tradition with more innovative proposals. All the plates are made with local, organic and high-quality ingredients. Some worth trying dishes are peppers stuffed with cod on squid sauce, Swiss chard stalks stuffed with spinach and pine nuts with Gorgonzola sauce, Artzentales lamb casserole with vegetable stew and crispy cheese or grilled octopus with chickpea hummus and apple sauce. And for dessert, millefeuille with butter roll ice cream, for example.
